Isabel Pearl's Newest Chef

Luis Ochoa

A special welcome to Isabel Pearl's newest chef de cuisine, Luis Ochoa, who was the executive chef at the globally inspired restaurant, Sazon, in Ellensburg, Washington. Luis will be replacing chef Eric Hyslop who will be taking on the role of head chef at a resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Neil Clooney wins Iron Chef Oregon

Neil Clooney at the Bite of Oregon

At the Bite of Oregon event last weekend, after perfecting a poached blue marlin dish, the Best Chef in Oregon award went to Neil Clooney, chef at Isabel's Ashland, OR restaurant, Dragonfly.

Clooney, who also took home the Top Chef Oregon trophy last year, battled and defeated other top Oregon chefs including Franco Console, Ken Henson, Adam Sappington, and Roscoe Robertson.

The Bite of Oregon is a signature annual culinary event featuring dozens of Oregon's best restaurants, wineries and brewers along with outstanding chefs showcasing their skills.
